Johnnie Mercers Pier Dogfish Tournament is Taking Place in Wrightsville Beach, NC

If you enjoy local fishing or want to get out to enjoy the spirit of vigorous competition, don’t miss the annual Dogfish Tournament at Johnnie Mercers Pier. This year’s event welcomes hundreds of anglers, old and new, as everyone gathers to try their hand at winning a variety of cash prizes. The top three anglers with the most significant dogfish weigh-ins will be victorious, but raffle prizes are up for grabs as well. Note: All fish entered for the tournament must be released alive if you want to be eligible for prizes.

• Date: Saturday, January 30th, 2021
• Time: Fishing 1 pm to 8 pm - Then inside gathering after 8 pm for results announcements
• Location: Johnnie Mercers Pier, 23 East Salisbury Street, Wrightsville Beach, NC
• Cost: $5 entry fee, $10 rod fee, $2 spectator fee
