A Hurricane Matthew Storm Damaged Roof in Wilmington

A Nationwide client of our SERVPRO of New Hanover franchise called us to help with his damaged roof after Hurricane Matthew blew on through his area. Fortunately, this high gabled roof line was not structurally damaged, just some lost shingles that did allow for rainwater penetration into the attic. Though the sky is blue, as is the tarp that we installed, the grey storm clouds were dumping heavy volumes of water at the time of our service. Our technicians worked carefully and swiftly to mitigate water damage to the attic crawl by covering the exposed leaking areas. We plan on returning to remove the tarps prior to the re-roofing and also inspect for mold growth and spray an anti-fungal agent as a precaution. The roof will look great, no interior water damage, and almost no likelihood of a mold infestation. “Like it never even happened.”
